FHA/VA Mortgage Underwriter (DE Required) 

Location: Melville, NY | Salary: $85,000 – $105,000

Reliant Home Funding, Inc. is seeking a skilled FHA/VA Mortgage Underwriter to join our expanding team. This is a key role for an experienced professional passionate about helping borrowers achieve homeownership through government lending programs.

We are open to remote candidates for this position. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Underwrite FHA and VA loans according to HUD, VA, and investor guidelines

  • Review borrower documentation and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Communicate approvals, suspensions, and conditions clearly

  • Utilize AI-powered technology to improve speed and decision quality

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of FHA/VA underwriting experience

  • DE certification required; LAPP/SAR preferred

  • Thorough understanding of HUD and VA guidelines

  • Proficiency with DU/LP and Encompass
